Floater Teacher Responsibilities:
- Responsible for classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
- Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
- Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, working with Preschoolers, in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
- Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
- Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement.
- Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
Floater Teacher Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Must be 18
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices Strong written and communication skills CPR and First Aid or willing to obtain.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
- Be reliable and punctual.
- Prior classroom experience in a childcare center teaching preschoolers a PLUS.
- Clean background check is REQUIRED (included FBI) through the Division of Child Development (qualifying letter)
- TB test and staff medical (within one year old).
- Minimum of 2 work references.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation a must.
