What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at The Learning Center?
We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to join our high-quality early childhood team. In this role, you will design and implement a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment where children aged 13 to 24 months can explore, grow, and thrive. You will lead classroom management, build meaningful partnerships with families, and ensure compliance with all North Carolina child care licensing standards.
Required Qualifications & Credentials:
- North Carolina Early Childhood Credential (EDU 119) or an equivalent credential recognized by the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE).
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience working directly with toddlers in a licensed child care facility.
- Strong understanding of child development, positive guidance techniques, and NC licensing regulations.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Ability to pass a mandatory North Carolina criminal background check and qualifying letter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field..
- Familiarity with the Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale (ITERS) observation requirements.
