Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Host to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, this individual is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities - Greet guests upon arrival and seat them in a timely manner - Handle reservations, take-out orders, and answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette - Manage the restaurant's waiting list and communicate with guests about wait times - Provide exceptional guest services, addressing any needs or concerns promptly - Help the kitchen staff by taking orders and delivering food to the tables - Maintain a clean and organized dining area - Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and cleaning the restaurant - Utilize the Aloha POS system to manage orders and process payments - Offer help and support to other team members as needed - Provide a positive and professional demeanor to all guests and staff
Skills - Strong knowledge of hospitality and food service principles - Excellent communication skills - Experience with a point-of-sale (POS) system - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment - Friendly and welcoming demeanor - Experience working in a restaurant or hotel setting - Ability to help and support other team members - Proficiency in providing exceptional guest services - Strong phone etiquette - Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace - Knowledge of hotel and restaurant operations - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends - Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities - Ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain a positive attitude
