The Law Office of Kate Curler LLC is growing — and we’re looking for a full-time
attorney ready to make a real impact in the lives of seniors, people with disabilities, and
their families.
Our Chicago-based firm focuses on Guardianship and Probate, with additional
expertise in Elder Law, Estate Planning, Medicaid Planning, Special Needs
Trusts, Federal and State Benefits Programs, Powers of Attorney, and Nursing
Home Act matters. We also partner closely with many of Chicagoland’s leading aging
and care resources, offering clients not just legal solutions, but coordinated,
compassionate support for their full journey through health, financial, and legal
challenges.

What You’ll Do
Handle guardianship, probate, estate planning, and Medicaid planning matters
with competence, care, and clarity.
Manage your own caseload while collaborating with team members and external
care partners to deliver holistic solutions.
Appear in Cook County, Lake County and remotely in other district courts for
hearings, petitions, and motion practice.
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and estate planning documents, and
develop tailored client strategies.
Communicate with confidence, compassion, and professionalism — always
keeping the client’s best interests at the forefront.

What You Bring
2–3 years of experience in one or more of the following: guardianship, estate
planning, probate, elder law, Medicaid planning, or motion practice.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide both legal expertise and
emotional reassurance.
Familiarity with Cook County and/or Lake County court systems.
A genuine desire to serve seniors, individuals with disabilities, and their families.
