Boutique firm located in downtown Chicago seeking an Illinois business and estate planning attorney with two to five years of experience. The Firm is composed of attorneys and tax professionals with a collaborative approach to representing high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and entrepreneurs in a full range of estate planning and corporate matters.
Candidates should have some experience in gift and estate tax planning, family business succession planning, trust administration, and general corporate and business matters and the desire to develop a practice centered around estate planning, corporate, real estate and tax matters. Experience in corporate and business transactions and residential real estate transactions is preferred but not required.
The position is ideal for a candidate who wishes to grow and develop a broad skill set in a collegial environment and eventually maintain a sophisticated legal practice. Responsibilities will include, among other things, the following:
- Drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney and other related estate planning documents.
- Gift and estate tax planning for high-net worth individuals and families.
- Trust and estate administration.
- Business entity formation and maintenance of corporate governance.
- Real estate closings.
- Preparation of federal and Illinois estate tax returns and federal gift tax returns.
- Collaboration with clients, attorneys, and professionals.
