Law Firm Office Manager – Part Time $20–$30/hour | 15–25 Hours/Week
About the Firm
Established in 2004, our firm focuses on Trust & Estates, Probate & Administration, and Business Law including disputes. We've built a strong reputation through consistent, careful legal work — and we're looking for an Office Manager who holds that same standard in everything they do.
The Role
This is a part-time operational leadership position. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the firm — not just keeping things organized, but actively monitoring the details that matter: billing accuracy, time and attendance, deadlines, and staff accountability. We need someone who spots problems before they become issues and isn't afraid to hold the line.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations including front desk, phones, scheduling, and vendor management
- Review and track attorney and staff billing entries, time records, and attendance with a critical eye
- Manage bookkeeping, payroll processing (QuickBooks), and budget oversight
- Supervise administrative staff — setting expectations, providing guidance, and addressing performance when needed
- Maintain document management systems and ensure compliance with confidentiality standards
- Support HR functions including onboarding, employee records, and policy administration
- Coordinate client appointments, attorney calendars, and occasional firm events
Qualifications
- Prior office management experience in a law firm or professional services environment
- Demonstrated ability to oversee billing, payroll, and financial record-keeping with accuracy
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Strong supervisory skills — comfortable holding staff accountable in a professional manner
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive client and firm information
Compensation & Benefits
