Laurels Job Description – Activities Aid
Job requirements:
Greet all residents in the dining room (breakfast) and announce daily activities.
Assist residents during lunch.
Get out all needed games/supplies for the scheduled activities.
Interact with residents in between scheduled activities. 1:1 visits/group visits
Check that someone is leading Rosary daily.
Check that someone is leading Exercise daily.
Do all scheduled (one hour long) daily activities. Must stay in room for entire activity.
Must be able to come up with alternate activities if needed.
Remind residents of upcoming activities throughout the day.
Make sure all areas are clean at all times – straighten, pick up tissues, candy wrappers, cups, etc., whatever is laying around. Keep lobby, back lobby and activity rooms looking neat and clean at all times.
Must gather residents for scheduled activity.
Must be able to modify activities for participating residents.
Must be able to work with all departments (team player).
Must be able to work every other weekend/holidays.
Will be responsible for keeping bulletin boards throughout building up to date.
Will be responsible to help with fund raising throughout the year.
Will be responsible to help with all facility events throughout the year.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and which relate to the success of the Laurels and the Care, Comfort, and Happiness of our residents.
Pay: From $13.25 per hour
