We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment at The Last Meal in Galion, OH!

This role involves providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and supporting food preparation and sanitation. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism. Previous experience in quick service or restaurant settings is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. Responsibilities

• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Square POS.
• Process payments efficiently, handling cash, credit, and digital transactions with precision.
• Provide friendly and attentive customer service, addressing questions and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Assist with food and drink preparation, including basic food handling and sanitation practices to maintain safety standards.
• Upsell menu items to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction.
• Clear tables, bus tables, and support cleanliness of dining areas to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Support kitchen staff by assisting with bussing, food prep, and maintaining sanitation standards.
• Follow food safety protocols and proper sanitation procedures throughout all duties.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and order accuracy.
• Support retail operations if applicable, including basic math for cash handling and inventory management.

Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in food service or retail environments, including familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS, but training will be given. Experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly desirable. Skills in food preparation, serving, cashiering, upselling, and customer service are essential to succeed in this role. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math are required. Candidates with culinary experience or background working in cafes, grocery stores, or the food industry will find this position aligns well with their skills. Strong time management abilities combined with excellent communication skills are necessary to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
