Department: Golf Shop
Reports To: Head Golf Professional & Assistant Golf Professional(s)
Primary Purpose
The Golf Shop Attendant works closely with the Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professional(s) to help provide a seamless and high-quality golf experience for members and guests. This role supports the daily operations of the Golf Shop and assists in maintaining efficient service throughout the golf operation.
The Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professional(s) will provide both written and verbal direction to help ensure all duties are completed effectively.
General Duties
- Register members and guests for daily play
- Answer Golf Shop phone calls and assist with general golf-related inquiries
- Assist with monthly inventory counts of merchandise, apparel, and equipment in both the Golf Shop and storage areas
- Restock and organize merchandise, apparel, and equipment in an attractive and organized manner
Essential Duties (not limited to)
- Assist Golf Professionals in providing member services related to golf equipment, course information, and general golf inquiries
- Provide feedback on inventory levels and product availability
- Monitor the tee sheet and communicate any play restrictions regarding guests, accompanied, and unaccompanied groups
- Maintain clear communication with the Starter and Player Services regarding member and guest check-ins, cancellations, or tee time changes
- Assist with tournament and event registrations, including communicating event details and registration timelines
- Use the club’s point-of-sale system to process Golf Shop transactions, manage inventory, and accurately charge daily play fees
- Assist with merchandising displays and periodic Golf Shop layout updates
- Follow all opening and closing procedures for the Golf Shop
General Information
Due to the nature of the golf industry, employees may be required to work flexible schedules based on the needs of the club. This may include weekends and certain holidays during the season.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Basic knowledge of golf operations and procedures preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Availability to work weekends
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
