Learning and Development Manager

The Manager, Learning & Development is responsible for enhancing employee capabilities by developing and delivering learning programs that strengthen consulting expertise, leadership skills, and industry knowledge across the organization. Reporting to the Director of Learning & Development, this role partners closely with business leaders, operations, and subject-matter experts to create impactful learning experiences for consulting teams, technology professionals, and corporate functions.

This position oversees the organization's learning initiatives from strategy through execution, including management of the Learning Management System (LMS) and the new hire onboarding program. The ideal candidate is an experienced learning professional with strong instructional design and facilitation skills, the ability to translate complex concepts into engaging, practical training for adult learners, and a hands-on approach to driving learning in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement learning initiatives that support business objectives and employee growth across consulting, technology, and operational teams.
• Identify training needs through performance data, employee feedback, manager input, and skills assessments to enhance consulting capabilities at multiple career levels.
• Create and deliver engaging learning programs focused on consulting fundamentals, healthcare industry knowledge, business communication, and emerging technologies.
• Continuously improve training content and programs by evaluating participant feedback, business needs, and industry trends.
• Measure training effectiveness by tracking participation, learning outcomes, and key performance metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership.
• Facilitate instructor-led and virtual training sessions for employees at various stages of their careers, including leadership development programs.
• Coach and support internal facilitators to ensure a high-quality, consistent learning experience across all training offerings.
• Manage and optimize the organization's Learning Management System (LMS), including course administration, content updates, reporting, and user engagement.
• Support the development and delivery of onboarding programs that help new employees integrate quickly and successfully.
• Coordinate learning communications, including program promotions, registration, reminders, and post-training follow-up.
• Stay current on healthcare industry developments, learning technologies, and best practices to keep training content relevant and impactful.
• Collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts to design practical, business-focused learning experiences.
• Recommend and implement learning solutions that strengthen employee capabilities and support organizational goals.
• Partner with external training providers, consultants, or educational institutions when specialized expertise is needed.
• Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Ideal Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Learning & Development, or a related field preferred.
• 6–8 years of experience in learning & development, talent development, organizational development, or within a consulting/professional services environment.
• Experience designing and facilitating learning programs for consulting professionals, preferably in healthcare or healthcare technology.
• Knowledge of healthcare policy, health technology, and consulting best practices.
• Experience with blended and digital learning platforms (Docebo a plus) and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Advanced literacy in artificial intelligence (AI), including familiarity with AI tools and their practical applications
• Strong project management, organization, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
