Job description:
We’re Hiring: Night Event Coordinator at the Larimore
As the Night Event Coordinator, you're the go-to person once the primary Venue Coordinator heads out for the day. You’re the face of the venue for the rest of the night, there to support the couple, their guests, and the vendors through the rest of the celebration. Your main job is to keep things running smoothly, make sure the venue stays in good shape, and help everyone end the night on a positive note.
This role is all about balance. You’re not there to be a strict enforcer, but you are there to keep things under control. Sometimes that means stepping in when guests need help, helping vendors stay on schedule, or dealing with things like noise complaints, etc. It can get a little chaotic, but your calm, friendly, and confident presence helps steer the night in the right direction.
Nestled on 6 picturesque acres, The Larimore instantly transports couples and guests the moment they arrive. Since September 2023, The Larimore has been proudly part of The Gilchrist Collection, a growing family of 12 extraordinary wedding venues across the US and UK, all dedicated to delivering once-in-a-lifetime celebrations.
Venue Mission Statement:
“Celebrating marriage through unforgettable weddings with the timeless charm of our venues and the devotion of our teams tying the knot to every couple's unique love story.
“Perfection, no exception.”
*Must be able to pass a drug screening as we are a drug-free workplace*

Key Responsibilities
- Take over from the Venue Coordinator and become the main point of contact for everyone at the event, especially the couple.
- Keep the night running smoothly by staying aware of timing, making sure everyone is following the venue rules, and jumping in if things get off-track.
- Be available and approachable, you’re the person everyone looks to when they need help or have questions.
- Gently enforce venue policies, like music cut-off times, alcohol guidelines, and cleanup responsibilities.
- Stay on top of the venue’s condition throughout the night. That means handling messes quickly, keeping bathrooms tidy, and making sure nothing gets damaged.
- Help vendors wrap up at the end of the night, and make sure everyone is out of the building and off the property by the scheduled end time.
- Handle the unexpected—Respond to and de-escalate unexpected situations, including inebriated guests, medical issues, or law enforcement involvement, always prioritizing safety and guest experience. This could be anything from rowdy guests, missing cake knives, arguments between guests/vendors/etc., to spills and messes.
- Communicate anything important from the night to the General Manager and report any situations either at the time (if necessary) or the following day after the event.
