Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, creative, and detail-oriented Communications & Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities & Communication.
This is a fast-paced position requiring exceptional multitasking skills, strong proofreading ability, creative design skills, and outstanding attention to detail. The ideal candidate must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute member communications, newsletters, announcements, and event updates.
- Thoroughly proofread all member-facing materials for spelling, grammar, accuracy, dates, times, pricing, and formatting.
- Design professional flyers, graphics, and digital content using Canva.
- Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and recurring responsibilities at the same time.
- Assist with event promotion, preparation, and coordination.
- Maintain accurate calendars, schedules, records, and departmental information.
- Assist with email campaigns, website updates, mobile app content, and social media.
- Provide a high level of professional and friendly customer service to members.
- Double-check completed work and follow assignments through to completion.
Qualifications
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills are essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in Canva with strong creative design ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dependable, proactive, and able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Ability to prioritize changing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous administrative, communications, marketing, hospitality, or private club experience preferred.
- Familiarity with email platforms and social media management preferred.
