What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at THE KRAFT GROUP?
SUMMARY
Operate powered industrial forklifts to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas and loading docks, into Concession stands and storage facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner. Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift.
- Locate stock before the start of the run and deliver appropriate stock to appropriate concession stands safely and on time.
- Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
- Coordinate receiving and deliveries via forklift, pallet jacks, carts and hand trucks as needed.
- Assist with stocking concession stands and warehouse organization.
- This position requires some nights and weekends, and leading delivery and post event cleanup & restock teams.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- None.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Food & Beverage experience preferred. Three years of forklift experience required.
- Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to move up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, Holidays and full stadium events.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to handle or feel.
- The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The noise level is usually loud.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, vibrations
- Due to the nature of the position, incumbents must be able to work in inclement weather.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud on event days.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Required to maintain a current Forklift License
