Matchday Ambassador

SUMMARY

This Matchday Ambassador is responsible for assisting the Fan and Community Engagement team on Revolution home matchdays. This role will play an active part in engaging Revolution fans in Fan Zone, at ticket gates with giveaways, through various matchday promotions, and more to provide a great matchday experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for set-up and breakdown of Fan Zone at Revolution home matches as well as engaging with fans and generating interest in the brand
2. Support with promotional item gate giveaway distribution
3. Collect tangible donations on select matchdays for community programming
4. Assist with pre-match, halftime, and post-match activities and promotions
5. Capture customer data using company iPads and enter said data into the company database
6. Set up and breakdown Supporter Group related items such as tents, banners and flags
7. Demonstrate the ability to work well with other team members
8. Entertain fans (new and old) by means of humor, crowd interaction, and verbal communication
9. Special projects and assignments as business dictates

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience preferred
• Must be available to work 15 out of 17 regular season home matches
• Outgoing personality, highly energetic, and enthusiastic
• Previous marketing/promotional experience for a college or professional sports team, preferred
• Ability to be a team player
• Reliable, punctual and demonstrates a professional attitude
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of soccer, specifically Major League Soccer and the New England Revolution
• Bilingual language skills preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to handle or feel.
• The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
