Description
SUMMARY: This position will lead a corrugator shift of employees to meet the safety, quality, production, and all other key performance indicators of a fast-paced work team. The Manager will also coordinate production operations and maintain effective quality procedures and safety regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide management and leadership to the department in establishing and maintaining standards in safety, continuous improvements, environmental compliance and cost control

Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime

Manage production personnel including timecard maintenance, disciplinary action, performance reviews, and safety compliance
-
Provide motivation, support and guidance to all employees
-
Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management
-
Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising safety or product integrity
-
Manage direct reports by communicating and enforce company standards and hold staff accountable
-
Establish high morale throughout your staff by showing fairness, consistency, and an interest in employee problems
-
Ensure all production reporting is completed timely and accurately for each shift

Participate and ensure department is compliant with industry audit standards
-
Report to the Operations Manager/General Manager, scheduling, or personnel problems that may have significant effects on operations
-
Oversee the proper training and manning of production positions
-
Oversee the inventory of parts and supplies in order to ensure a continuous operation
-
Oversee inventories of sheets, ink and other converting supplies
-
Responsible for the upkeep of machinery; coordinate maintenance work with a minimum of downtime

Regular and predictable attendance

Ensure all production reporting is completed timely and accurately for each shift

Manager is responsible for all Company Forklift Training and maintenance of Forklift Training documents

Special projects and assignments as business dictates.

Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPPA.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor’s degree in business/engineering or related field preferred

5 years of experience in the corrugated/ converting industry
-
3 years of leadership experience in high volume manufacturing required

Knowledge of machinery and how to identify issues and troubleshoot equipment
-
Ability to learn proprietary software programs for the Corrugated Manufacturing systems
-
Leverage manufacturing knowledge to achieve business objectives, such as to solve problems, develop new ideas, or build the business
-
Must possess excellent attention to detail, problem solving and follow-up with a strong sense of urgency and time management skills.

Comprehension of general manufacturing concepts related to efficiency, quality, safety, workflow and mechanics
-
Lean manufacturing, Six-Sigma, or TQM administration experience is preferred
-
Knowledge of web-based or paper converting, packaging, or printing experience preferred

Flexibility to manage a 24/7 continuous manufacturing facility
