What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional-as needed position at The King's Daughters' School?
We are seeking DSPs to care for individuals with intellectual disabilities in a residential or classroom environment.
Work as little as once per month, up to 40 hours per week
Schedule and pay: varies by campus and shift
Available shifts include:
1st, 2nd, 3rd or weekends at main campus
12 hour shifts at Center for Autism (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am)
Job duties include:
- Assisting students with daily activities, general functions and behavior modification programs
- Ensuring a smooth transition between shifts by being on-time, organized and ready for students.
- Performing cleaning tasks
- High School diploma required
- Valid Driver's licence preferred
- Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism preferred but not required (most important is to show up and want to care for others)
- Candidate should be able to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen. (no felonies, no convictions involving abuse, assault, neglect)
