The Kid Spot Center is seeking out an Insurance Claims Specialist. The purpose of the job is to ensure all payments are received, forwarded to appropriate person or secondary insurance, as needed, and payments posted.
The Kid SpOt Center is a pediatric clinic serving patients from birth to 21 years of age with various needs from developmental delays, Autism to Down Syndrome. Because we are dedicated to the success of each child, we offer multiple therapeutic services including: Physical, Occupational and Speech therapies, Positive Behavior Supports, Community Living Supports, Targeted Case Management and Mental Health Counseling. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Divide and finalize EOBs
- Analyze all denied claims
- Print all denied claims and place in tracking binder
- Follow up on research/reprocess claims within the appropriate time frame
- Check patient charges if private pay
- File paperwork/claims
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding denials and or/issues
- Sort deposits by locations and turn in weekly deposit log
- File appeals if needed
- Be persistent with insurance companies regarding claim payments
- Keep up with top priority denials
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organized and able to follow through and complete tasks
- Team Player
- Completing task with deadlines
Job Requirements:
- BA in Business Administration or finance related field preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- Computer Skills: General computer knowledge, email, Microsoft word, excel
- Knowledge of healthcare, pediatrics, insurance and medical terminology
- Knowledge of medical codes
- CPR Certification
- 3 years or more of experience in medical insurance billing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.15 - $20.00 per hour
