The Keller Group is proud to partner with our well-established client in their search for a Senior Tax Accountant. The company is a polished, professional group with a growing portfolio that spans real estate, construction, and other investments. Turnover is very low, and the team is small enough that your work is visible and valued. You'll report directly to the Controller and partner with one other tax professional. You'll get broad exposure across industries and entity types that a traditional corporate role rarely offers.

What you'll do
- Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for a large portfolio of partnerships and S corporations operating in multiple states, along with supporting schedules and workpapers.
- Take a lead role in annual tax planning, including quarterly estimated tax calculations and payments.
- Research the tax implications of new investments and present findings to senior leadership when needed.
- Prepare and file sales tax, property tax, and other tax payments.
- Work with outside tax preparers, financial preparers, and joint venture partners, and review externally prepared returns and financial statements.
- Over time, grow into general ledger, financial statement preparation, and reporting for real estate and investment holdings.
What you'll bring
- 3 years of tax experience, with an emphasis on partnership (1065) and S corporation (1120-S) returns.
- Public accounting experience strongly preferred, though sharp candidates with relevant industry experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Exposure to real estate or private equity clients is a strong plus.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting. A CPA (or progress toward one) or an MBA is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills and solid attention to detail.
- A self-starter mindset and the ambition to take on more responsibility quickly.
