We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Director of Textiles. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Strong technical knowledge of woven fabrics. Hands on knowledge of finishing and dyeing processes, both in garment and piece goods form, construction options and alternatives to get optimum product at best cost.
- Oversee & manage a team of individuals to ensure all functions relating to the sourcing, costing, negotiating,
booking and production cycle are maintained
- Work closely with Cross Functional Teams to troubleshoot any potential issues upfront to help and come to the
table with workable solutions.
- Ensure that all adopted qualities have been tailored to insure workable before proceeding into production.
- Ensure all standards have been confirmed and are on hand in advance of placing bulk.
- Review and maintain seasonal records for overall booking to review with VP of Textiles & Trim to work on corporate Strategies
- Review weekly WIPS with your teams to make sure there are no delivey issues that can potentially impact our garment delivery.
- Alert VP of Textiles/Trim to any potential issues along with workable solutions.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with the suppliers so that we can effectively create a workable environment
- Give guidance and motivation to inter-department teams
- Knowledge of testing requirements for fabric and garments, and ability to problem solve to achieve approvals.
- Proactively watch market trends and analyze applicability to each brand.
- Counter source production challenges to be in front of calendar deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with costing team to monitor costs in advance of placements.

- Bachelor’s degree desired preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience
- Proficient in Excel
- Exceptional collaboration skills with Senior Management
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills

Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
