Kable Workforce Solutions is recruiting an Injection Mold Maintenance & Repair Technologist on behalf of our client. Your mission is simple: protect uptime and deliver flawless parts by owning the health of complex injection molds.

You will
  • Execute preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on plastic injection molds
  • Operate as the standalone internal tooling resource for the molding operation
  • Rebuild and fabricate components to match the most current prints and 2D data
  • Perform light heat-treat operations, MIG/TIG weld repairs, precision hand fitting, and detailed bench work
  • Identify and fix water/oil leaks; verify robust cooling and lubrication circuits
  • Document all work per site requirements; monitor inventory and coordinate low-stock orders with the Tooling Supervisor
  • Diagnose hard-to-solve tooling issues that impact cycle time, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy
  • Support high-precision, multi-cavity molds used for cosmetic automotive components
  • Apply meticulous craftsmanship to tight-tolerance tooling in a fast-paced environment
  • Complete additional duties as assigned
You bring
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years of production-floor troubleshooting experience specific to injection molding tooling
  • 4 years maintaining and repairing plastic injection molds
  • Background working with tooling for cosmetic-grade automotive parts
  • Fundamental knowledge of mold design
  • Strong communication and a calm, methodical approach under pressure
Bonus skills
  • CNC machining capability or Mastercam programming experience
Physical demands
  • Able to lift and move 50 lbs
  • Comfort with reaching, grasping, holding, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, and kneeling
  • Reliable hand–eye coordination and the ability to stand for long periods
Core proficiencies
  • Mechanical troubleshooting expertise
  • Tool/Die/Mold setup capability
