Job Overview

The Senior Manager of Logistics is responsible for leading and optimizing warehouse and distribution operations to ensure efficient inventory management, on-time delivery, regulatory compliance, and high customer satisfaction. This role provides strategic direction, manages cross-functional collaboration, and delivers continuous improvement across logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse and distribution operations
• Lead, coach, and manage warehouse and distribution teams, including direct and indirect staff
• Ensure inventory accuracy with a target of 99.9 percent across all inventory locations
• Monitor, analyze, and continuously improve key performance indicators related to logistics operations
• Implement process improvements and team best practices to streamline workflows and increase efficiency
• Collaborate with Planning, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Finance, IT, and other internal teams to ensure operational alignment
• Work closely with Customer Service to support timely deliveries and customer satisfaction
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and carriers to ensure reliable and cost-effective transportation
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies
• Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company requirements
• Partner with compliance teams to manage logistics-related compliance responsibilities
• Play a key role in ISO compliance and auditing processes
• Prepare and present regular performance reports and operational updates to senior leadership
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Operations, Logistics, or a related field
• Seven or more years of experience managing warehouse and logistics operations, including inventory management, transportation, and contract negotiations
• Minimum of five years of experience managing direct and indirect staff
• Proven experience managing customer relationships
• Strong knowledge of process controls and performance metrics
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with SAP or a comparable ERP system
• Experience supporting ERP system implementations
• Familiarity with ISO standards and audit processes
