Position Overview
The Speech‑Language Pathologist will provide evaluation, intervention, and support services for students with communication needs across two school sites. The role includes assessment, IEP development, direct therapy, and collaboration with educators and families to support student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Student referrals — Accept and process referrals for students with suspected communication disorders.
- Screenings & evaluations — Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations individually or as part of multidisciplinary or transdisciplinary teams.
- Eligibility identification — Determine communication disorders and document findings in evaluation reports.
- IEP development — Create, review, and revise IEPs in collaboration with families, teachers, and related service providers.
- Therapy services — Provide appropriate intervention (individual, group, classroom‑based, or community‑based).
- Collaboration & consultation — Support teachers and parents regarding communication needs and the link between language and literacy.
- Training & professional development — Assist with developing and delivering training related to communication and literacy.
- Curriculum support — Contribute to curriculum components related to communication and literacy.
- Grant participation — Participate in grant‑funded initiatives supporting communication and literacy programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Completion of CF Year required (open to CFY candidates who have passed the Praxis).
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) required.
- Experience evaluating and supporting students with developmental delays or special needs.
- Experience developing and implementing educational programs.
- Reliable transportation
Salary : $45 - $50
