About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior System Administrator to support and enhance our enterprise IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of critical systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Microsoft server environments, virtualization technologies, and enterprise storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support virtual and physical servers in an enterprise environment.
• Install, configure, and manage Microsoft Windows Server platforms and desktop technologies.
• Manage virtualization technologies, including VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter.
• Configure and support Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop environments.
• Monitor system performance, security, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and infrastructure issues.
• Support and maintain high-availability environments through redundancy and virtualization best practices.
• Administer Active Directory, including Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell.
• Manage enterprise storage solutions, including Storage Area Networks (SAN).
• Support and administer backup solutions such as Veritas NetBackup.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to implement technology solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams.
• Create and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability.
• Implement and follow IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
• Ensure compliance with corporate security policies and regulatory requirements.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–7 years of experience as a System Administrator in an enterprise environment.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server (2012 R2 through current versions).
• Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy administration.
• Hands-on experience with VMware technologies, including ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience managing enterprise storage and SAN technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop (Virtual Apps and Desktops).
• Familiarity with high-availability environments and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience with Veritas NetBackup or similar enterprise backup solutions.
• Knowledge of ITSM frameworks such as ITIL.
• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
  
  

Certifications

• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or equivalent certification.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred.
