Job Description: X-Ray Technologist
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday-Friday (5 days per week)
Department: Radiology
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to join our Radiology team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in radiographic imaging, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This role primarily supports the Main Campus Radiology department and may provide coverage at the Meyerland Plaza location as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations following established protocols and safety standards.
Demonstrate expertise in radiographic positioning and imaging workflow.
Provide exceptional patient care and customer service throughout the imaging process.
Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Adhere to all radiation safety and regulatory requirements.
Support workflow demands in a high-volume outpatient setting.
Travel between Main Campus Radiology and Meyerland Plaza locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Prior experience as an X-Ray Technologist in a clinical or outpatient setting.
Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning techniques and imaging procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
Fluoroscopy experience.
Orthopedic imaging experience.
Strong customer service orientation.
Flexibility to support multiple clinic locations as needed.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Positive attitude and team-focused approach.
Required Certifications & Licenses
ARRT (R) Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Texas Medical Board MRT License
