Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT) – ESY Program

Assignment Type: Extended School Year (ESY) / Summer

Position Overview

A school district is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to support students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This role focuses on delivering therapy services to students with disabilities in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring continuity of progress and prevention of skill regression over the summer.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct physical therapy services as outlined in student IEPs during ESY programming
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve functional mobility and independence
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including special education staff, OT, SLPs, teachers, and paraprofessionals
• Track, document, and report student progress toward established IEP goals
• Participate in ESY team meetings and maintain consistent communication with staff and case managers
• Modify equipment and environments to ensure safe, accessible participation
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant service documentation per district and state standards
  
  

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Experience working with pediatric and/or school-based populations strongly preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to support students with a wide range of physical and developmental needs
  
  

Licensure Requirements (Pennsylvania)

• Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapist License
• License must remain in good standing throughout assignment
