Job Summary:-
The Radiology Call Center Representative supports patient care by coordinating and scheduling radiology appointments through inbound calls. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle an average of 65β75 inbound patient calls per day related to radiology scheduling
- Schedule radiology exams and procedures accurately and efficiently
- Collect, verify, and update patient information, including demographics and insurance details
- Monitor and maintain continuity of patient care through scheduling and tracking systems and work queues
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to ensure patient understanding of appointments and procedures
- Assist front desk operations as needed
- Adhere to Optum administrative policies and procedures to ensure quality of care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Stay current with medical and departmental requirements relevant to the role
- Attend all required Optum and departmental training sessions
