Role Overview
This position is accountable for shaping and executing manufacturing engineering solutions that enable reliable, efficient, and scalable production. The role plays a critical part in aligning process design, equipment selection, and system integration with business objectives, while partnering closely with cross‑functional teams to transition engineering concepts into stable manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
*Provide leadership and direction to the manufacturing engineering function, ensuring alignment with operational targets and production demands.
*Define and execute manufacturing engineering roadmaps focused on improving productivity, product quality, and cost performance.
*Champion process improvement initiatives using proven methodologies such as lean principles, Six Sigma tools, and advanced automation.
*Evaluate, specify, and implement manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and tooling to support current and future programs.
*Collaborate with research, development, and product design teams to influence product architecture with manufacturability and assembly efficiency in mind.
*Develop performance metrics and dashboards to track manufacturing effectiveness, including asset utilization, yield, downtime, and waste reduction.
*Ensure engineering activities meet all applicable safety requirements, quality systems, and regulatory obligations.
*Prepare and manage capital investment proposals and operating budgets related to manufacturing engineering projects.
Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
*10 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment, with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
*Formal training or certification in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process optimization methodologies is strongly preferred.
*Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage complex projects.
*Comfortable operating in a dynamic, hands-on manufacturing setting with cross-functional collaboration.
*Working knowledge of CAD tools, ERP/MES platforms, and modern manufacturing automation technologies.
Salary : $145,000 - $175,000
