Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development, including formulation, benchtop development, plant trials, commercialization, and ongoing product optimization.
- Drive scale-up and first production runs, troubleshooting formulation and process challenges to ensure successful commercialization.
- Manage product specifications, ingredient qualifications, labeling compliance, shelf-life validation, and cost targets throughout the development process.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Culinary Science, or related field; equivalent pastry and commercial formulation experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of product development or R&D experience within food manufacturing; bakery, pastry, frozen foods, or dessert experience preferred.
- Proven success taking products from concept to commercial production, with working knowledge of labeling regulations, ingredient functionality, food safety systems, and product costing.
