Our client is currently seeking a Engineering & Maintenance Technician II for their CPG Manufacturing facility located near Salisbury NC. This is a 4-day work week, working 10-hour days Mon-Thurs. The Maintenance / Engineering Tech will work closely with the Maintenance Manager & Engineering Team to install, repair, and fabricate plant equipment along with monitoring the performance of plant equipment to revise & generate maintenance programs & schedules and make corrective actions. This is a newer, automated facility and the company offers a competitive salary & benefits that are 90% paid for & 3-4 weeks PTO to start.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Operate basic repair and maintenance equipment.
- Monitor the performance of manufacturing and packaging equipment and take corrective actions, such as repairs
- Promptly bring to the attention of Maintenance Manager or VP of any problems that may be beyond one’s skill set.
- Assist as necessary with independent repair and maintenance contractors.
- Assist with equipment rebuilds, upgrades and installations
- Monitor and perform basic repairs and maintenance on the manufacturing, warehousing, and the office facilities
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma / Trade School Certifications Preferred
- 2 Years of Manufacturing Experience - Food / Beverage / Personal Care Products / Consumer Packaged Good Preferred
- Ability to read, write and trouble shoot simple electrical wiring problems.
- Ability to perform minor level mechanical and electrical repairs to manufacturing equipment, packaging. equipment, packaging equipment, pumps, fans, facility mechanical systems etc.
- Ability to assist with equipment installation.
