Position Summary
The EHS Manager is responsible for leading environmental, health, and safety programs that ensure regulatory compliance, minimize risk, and promote a strong culture of safety across operations. This role partners with leadership and employees to maintain a safe, compliant, and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state regulations.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Manage environmental compliance, waste handling, and reporting requirements.
- Track safety metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response programs.
- Promote employee engagement and safety awareness throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, recycling, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workplace safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional certifications (ASP, CSP, CHMM) are a plus.
