Salary: $150,000.00 USD Annually - $180,000.00 USD Annually

Description: The Judge Group is currently seeking a Director of Business Development with significant experience in the defense sector. This position is remote with travel expected to customer sites and events around the country. We are looking for experience selling small business set aside and 8(a) opportunities. Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for prospecting and generating new business focusing on Department of Defense as well as Federal/Civilian agencies.
• Contributes inputs and strategy into company’s business plan, marketing materials and initial prospecting of strategic customers and opportunities.
• Works with customers via the 8(a) direct award process, as well as lead generation for competitive proposal opportunities.
• Frequent travel for customer visits, industry days, attending tradeshows and conventions, supporting company exhibit booths required.
• Responsible for building (and subsequently owning) a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities; prepare and present gate reviews specific to the opportunities recommended for pursuit and capture.
• Supports developing teaming agreements and strategic alliances
• Effectively engages with capture manager(s), solution architect and program manager/teams to ensure opportunity objectives and initial solutioning effectively transition into capture activities
• Communicating resource needs and leveraging resources assigned is critical to the success of every business development professional
• Collaborating with subject & technical matter experts, functional leads, and Program Managers
• Gathers, assesses, and validates customer requirements working closely with Capture and Program Managers -- identifies related needs and constraints that impact winning solution
• Assess probable competition and evaluates relative strengths and threats - conducts or assists with black-hats, competitive scenarios, etc.
• Participates in gate reviews, pricing, teaming, and capture reviews
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or technical field required.
• Must have at least 10 years of relevant experience in business development for IT professional services in the Federal/DoD market.
• Proven experience winning new business; experience and success developing business for 8(a)-certified federal contractors strongly preferred.
• Ability to present an aggressive yet sensitive approach to building a national revenue base.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to make sound business decisions.
• Proficient in the use of computers, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills a must.
• Must be a strong multi-tasking individual and demonstrate the ability to sell multiple products and follow a daily sales plan.
