Hiring: Buyer | Cape Canaveral, FL
we are seeking for an experienced Buyer to support procurement and supply chain operations for a leading aerospace organization.
📍 Location: Cape Canaveral, FL 32920
📅 Duration: 6 Month Contract (Extension and/or Permanent Hire Possible)
🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday | Standard Business Hours
💰 Pay Rate: $45–$51/hr on W2 (Negotiable Based on Experience)
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Manage supplier relationships and procurement activities for complex engineering and manufacturing programs
✅ Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs and perform cost and price analyses
✅ Develop sourcing and contract negotiation strategies
✅ Manage procurement activities from requisition through invoice payment
✅ Lead strategic supplier agreements and Long-Term Agreements (LTAs)
✅ Ensure timely delivery of materials while meeting quality, cost, and technical requirements
✅ Partner with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Program Management
✅ Track supplier performance and procurement metrics
Required Qualifications:
✔ Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field with 5 years of procurement/supply chain experience (or Master's degree with 3 years of experience)
✔ Strong procurement, purchasing, and supplier management background
✔ Experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)
✔ Contract negotiation experience including FFP, T&M, CPFF, and CPIF contracts
✔ Knowledge of AS9100 standards
✔ Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and drawings
✔ Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
⭐ Aerospace, Space, Aviation, or Defense industry experience
⭐ Experience supporting Avionics or Fluid Systems commodities
⭐ Knowledge of ITAR/EAR regulations
⭐ CPSM, CSCP, or PMP certifications
⭐ Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Jira, and SharePoint
