Position Overview
Brookwood Baptist Medical Center is seeking an experienced Travel Cath Lab Technician to join its cardiovascular team. This role supports a high-acuity Cath Lab environment, working alongside physicians and clinical staff to deliver safe, efficient, and technically skilled care for cardiac patients. The ideal candidate is a strong team player, adaptable, and confident in advanced interventional procedures.

Assignment Details

• Position Title: Travel Technician - Cath Lab
  
• Location: 2010 Brookwood Medical Center Drive, Suite 209, Bldg B, Birmingham, AL 35209
  
• Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
  
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
  
• Start Date: Projected March 9, 2026
  
• Position Type: Travel - Vacant Position
  
• Submittal Limit: 3
  
• Call Requirements:
  
  • 1 weekend per month
    
  • 1 call day per week
    
• Float Requirements: None

• Patient Ratio: 1 team : 1 patient
  
• Equipment: Merge Hemo
  
• EMR: Merge Hemo / Cerner (transitioning to Epic June 2026)
  
• Patient Population: Cardiac
  

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:
  
  • BLS
    
  • ACLS
    
  • RCIS preferred
    
• Experience:
  
  • Minimum 3 years Cath Lab experience required
    
  • 5 years strongly preferred
    
• Technical Skills Required:
  
  • IABP
    
  • Impella
    
  • Laser
    
  • Shockwave
    
  • Philips panning experience
    
• Preferred Experience:
  
  • Merge Hemo
