Avionics Technician IIIJob SummaryThe Avionics Technician III installs, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs aircraft avionics systems in accordance with FAA, FCC, and company regulations. This role works with aircraft wiring, electronic components, and testing equipment to ensure avionics systems operate safely and correctly.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, repair, and troubleshoot aircraft avionics systems and components.Perform wiring installation, routing, and repairs using approved techniques.Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Use avionics testing equipment to diagnose and fix system issues.Perform soldering and crimping for wire connections.Maintain tools, testing equipment, and maintenance documentation.Follow all FAA, FCC, safety, and company procedures.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED5 years of avionics or aircraft electronics experienceAbility to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprintsExperience with avionics wiring, installation, crimping, and solderingMust have personal toolsPreferredExperience with oscilloscopes or pitot-static testing equipmentBackground in Aerospace, Defense, or Military aviationFamiliarity with FCC regulations or FCC GROLPhysical & Work EnvironmentStanding, walking, climbing, and using hands for detailed workLifting up to 50 lbs occasionallyWorking around loud noise, aircraft equipment, and outdoor conditions
