Job Title: Surety Account Executive / Account Manager

Job Summary

A dedicated and detail-oriented Surety Account Executive or Account Manager is sought to join a dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to deliver exceptional client service in the surety and bonding sector. The successful candidate will manage client accounts, develop lasting relationships, and ensure that all client bonding needs are efficiently handled. This position suits individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and possess a solid understanding of surety products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a portfolio of surety accounts to ensure clients' bonding requirements are met accurately and on time.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, surety markets, and internal teams to facilitate account management and renewals.
  • Review, analyze, and negotiate terms for new and renewal surety bonds.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company protocols while delivering tailored bonding solutions to clients.
  • Provide expert advice to clients regarding proper bond solutions, coverage gaps, and industry regulations.
  • Analyze financial statements of clients to assess bonding needs and obligations.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to obtain approvals and resolve issues promptly.
  • Oversee documentation management, including contracts, bond requests, and amendments.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure timely handling of renewals, claims, and account changes.
  • Maintain accurate records in the agency management system and ensure adherence to data integrity standards.
  • Identify opportunities to recommend additional products and services that align with clients' needs.
  • Stay informed about new surety bond products, industry trends, and regulatory updates.

Qualifications/Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in surety, insurance, or a related industry role.
  • Valid Property & Casualty Insurance License or willingness to obtain promptly.

Skills & Competencies

  • Comprehensive understanding of surety bond products, contracts, and underwriting processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering and maintaining client relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Analytical skills to assess financial data and provide sound recommendations.
  • Proficiency in industry software, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recognized industry designations such as AFSB (Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding) or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) are highly desirable.
