Seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Claims Field Adjuster to join a Claims team. You will work closely with the Desk Adjusting team to investigate claims, determine causes of loss, and ensure timely and accurate resolution.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 per year
- Bonus Potential: Up to 10% of annual salary, with the possibility of earning up to 150% of the maximum bonus based on company growth and performance.

- Conduct thorough and timely in-person field inspections to resolve first-party property claims in accordance with company guidelines and standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to policyholders and agents, serving as the face of the organization.
- Collaborate with the Desk Adjusting team to investigate claims, identify causes of loss, and document damages.
- Negotiate with contractors, service providers, and public adjusters to ensure fair and appropriate claim outcomes.
- Review third-party estimates to ensure accurate evaluation and payment of claims.
- Assist in overseeing Third-Party Administrators, Independent Field Adjusters, and other service providers as needed.
- Mentor and train claims colleagues in damage estimation and the use of Xactimate.
- Be available to work additional hours, including weekends, to support the department’s catastrophe response efforts.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required).
- Continued insurance education and/or designations (preferred but not required).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of field adjusting experience handling Personal Lines Property Claims for an insurance carrier (strongly preferred).
- Experience with independent adjusting companies or third-party administrators will be considered.
- Expertise in Property/Homeowners claims, including coverage, investigation, reserving, and claim resolution.
- Prior experience working with contractors, service providers, and public adjusters.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in scoping property losses and writing estimates using the Xactimate platform.
- Requisite knowledge of construction.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
- Self-starter mentality with high work standards and the ability to work independently.
- Strong team orientation and collaboration skills.
- Licensing:
- Ability to secure licenses in New York and all states where policies are written.
- Valid driver’s license.
