P&C Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced P&C Account Manager to join a growing team. This role is a blend of sales and service, focusing on 90% Personal Lines and 10% Commercial & Farm Lines. As an integral part of a small, customer-focused office, you will manage accounts from start to finish, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the agency's growth. This is an onsite position based in Cambridge, OH, offering a unique opportunity to work in a highly visible and collaborative environment.

Compensation Package

• Base Salary: $40,000 – $44,000
• Commission: 50% on new business written (excluding rewrites)

Responsibilities

• Provide full A–Z account management for Personal Lines, Commercial, and Farm Lines accounts
• Handle inbound call-in and walk-in sales inquiries
• Write new business and cross-sell additional products to existing clients
• Round out accounts to ensure comprehensive coverage for clients
• Build and maintain strong client relationships in a customer-facing role
• Utilize agency management software (HawkSoft, transitioning to Applied Epic) to manage accounts and documentation
  
  

Qualifications/Requirements

• Licensure: Active P&C License required (additional designations are a bonus)
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in account servicing and management, with exposure to sales
• Technical Skills: Experience with independent agency CRM systems (HawkSoft preferred; training provided)
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with carriers such as Nationwide, Progressive, Hanover, Safeco, and Westfield is a plus but not required
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in insurance is advantageous
• Work Environment: Must be able to work onsite daily in Cambridge, OH; remote work is not available
