Computer Support Assistant

IT@JH Office of the Deputy CIO is seeking a Computer Support Assistant to aide in the development, implementation, and support of its AI solutions. In this role, the Computer Support Assistant will provide excellent customer service to support requests, assist in application testing, review and update technical and customer documentation and participate in project ceremonies. The Computer Support Assistant will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to integrate AI solutions into the technical fabric of a world-renowned institution.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Utilize basic knowledge of computer systems, applications and interfaces.
• Gather appropriate data and devise and design simple solutions.
• Devise simple bench-marking metrics to assess system, application, or database performance.
• Provide attention to detail in data gathering, specifications development and documentation and record keeping.
• Utilize basic degree of analytical skill.
• Work under direct supervision in support of team initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or graduation equivalent. Some college.
• Some experience.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in MS applications.
• Exposure to object-oriented programming languages, such as Java or C#.
• Experience with generative AI solutions such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot.

Starting Salary Range: $15.70 - $25.25 HRLY (Commensurate w/exp.)
