SUMMARY
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment for students, staff, parents, and visitors. This position performs general custodial and janitorial duties throughout the entire Campus. All classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas are to remain clean, sanitary, and orderly.
Full-time position offers Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement and Life/Disability Insurance.
M-F: 4:00pm-10:00pm CT

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas, classrooms and offices.
· Assists in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and cafeteria.
· Maintains a neat and orderly janitors’ supply rooms
· Assists in washing windows; seasonal
· Assists in examining school for safety hazards; reports deficiencies to Director of Facilities, and/or Facilities Assistant.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQURIED SKILLS/ ABILITIES
· Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
· Detail-oriented and thorough.
· Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
· Ability to keep the school clean and orderly.
· Ability to interact with staff, students, parents, and visitors at school while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.
· Prolonged periods standing.
· Candidates must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 20 pounds at a time.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Must pass a background check.
