Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on gardening, landscaping, and outdoor maintenance products
- Assist customers in identifying plants, flowers, and gardening supplies through plant identification and horticulture knowledge
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cashiering and cash handling transactions
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure product availability and visual appeal
- Support outdoor work by assisting with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and garden setup projects when needed
- Handle customer inquiries via phone communication promptly and professionally
- Support e-commerce initiatives by processing online orders and coordinating in-store pickup or delivery options
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in outdoor or garden centers
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, floral design, and horticulture practices highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, stock management, and merchandising techniques
- Multilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse customer needs
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, stock replenishment, and product displays effectively
