Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems, machinery, and equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including electrical work, welding, plumbing, HVAC servicing, and general facilities upkeep.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to diagnose electrical faults and automate processes.
- Execute residential painting projects and other aesthetic improvements to enhance property appearance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise junior team members or contractors during maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within residential or manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in welding, electrical troubleshooting, and system repairs.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and communicate fluently in English; effective communication skills are essential for teamwork and customer service interactions.
- Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is preferred, demonstrating leadership qualities and organizational skills.
