Are you a craftsman with an eye for detail and a passion for transforming raw wood into polished works of art? Join our team in Fairfield as a Fine Cabinetry Finisher . In this role, you aren’t just "painting"—you are the final hand that defines the quality and aesthetic of our custom cabinetry.
We pride ourselves on top-tier craftsmanship and are looking for a dedicated professional who takes pride in every coat, from the first sand to the final seal.
Key Responsibilities
- Precision Finishing: Expertly apply conversion varnishes, stains, paints, and clear coats to cabinetry and various wood components.
- Surface Preparation: Master the prep process by sanding, filling, and smoothing surfaces to ensure a flawless foundation.
- Color Artistry: Mix and match stains and finishes to achieve consistent, vibrant colors that meet our rigorous quality standards.
- Equipment Mastery: Calibrate and maintain spray equipment (including HVLP systems) for optimal coverage and efficiency.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of finished pieces, performing touch-ups or repairs to ensure every product is showroom-ready.
- Safety & Organization: Maintain a pristine spray booth environment and strictly adhere to safety protocols regarding chemical handling and ventilation.
What You Bring to the Bench
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional spray finishing experience (required).
- Technical Skill: Deep knowledge of wood finishes, sealers, and the chemistry of cabinetry coatings.
- Detail-Oriented Mindset: An obsession with consistency, smooth textures, and perfect color blending.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and maneuver cabinetry components and work in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Safety Consciousness: A disciplined approach to working with finishing chemicals and shop machinery.

- Previous experience in a high-end woodworking or cabinetry shop.
- Advanced expertise with HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) systems.
