We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Music Instructor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead engaging music classes tailored for children of various ages, from preschoolers to early learners. Your passion for teaching and love of working with children will help cultivate a positive musical environment that promotes growth, creativity, and fun. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in early childhood education through music.
Duties
- Lead lively, interactive music classes that incorporate singing, dancing, instrument play, and movement activities
- Implement our age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood development principles
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe and positive learning environment
- Follow lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of children
- Foster a love of music by encouraging participation and celebrating each child's unique talents
- Collaborate with preschool staff and caregivers to support children's musical development and overall well-being
Experience
- Experience playing guitar, ukulele, or keyboard while singing
- A tuneful singing voice
- Experience working with children in a group setting
- (teaching, coaching, camps, childcare, parenting, etc.)
- Energetic, upbeat, and charismatic personality
- Ability to engage and captivate young children
- Positive, playful, and professional demeanor
- Strong group facilitation skills
- Ability to memorize songs and lesson plans
