Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned accounting leader to manage all aspects of accounting and finance operations, including oversight of a 30-person team. This is for a contract position anticipated to last for three months.
Responsibilities:
- Manage five direct reports and the broader team of 30 staff.
- Oversee teams supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, statutory reporting, tax and treasury functions.
- Manage month end close, work-in-process reporting and general ledger; handle CMS audits.
- Develop and maintain internal accounting controls; guide financial decisions through policy and procedure enforcement.
- Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data.
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Coordinate quarterly accounting reviews, annual audits and tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements; advise management on necessary actions.
- Monitor bank account balances to maintain appropriate working capital and cash ratios.
Requirements:
- Willing and available to travel onsite regularly (at least 1–2 weeks per month in Oklahoma)
- Previous leadership experience managing management-level staff at a health plan
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree (preferred)
- 10 years of accounting experience; financial analysis experience (preferred)
- CPA designation
- Experience with Big 5 public accounting (strongly preferred)
Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $70.00 to $80.00 per hour.
