Exciting Controller opportunity with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed healthcare organization!

I'm partnering with a dynamic, growth-oriented healthcare services company in Las Colinas seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations across a multi-entity, multi-state platform.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced, acquisition-driven environment and wants to play an integral role in scaling a business backed by private equity.

IMPORTANT: Recent experience in a private equity-backed healthcare services organization is REQUIRED, along with hands-on NetSuite experience.

Compensation & Perks

• Base Salary: Up to $200K
• Annual Bonus: 20%
• Hybrid Schedule: 2-3 days per week in the Las Colinas office, with Fridays always remote

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the accounting function for a growing portfolio of healthcare entities operating across multiple states.
• Oversee monthly close, consolidations, financial reporting, general ledger operations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis to executive leadership and private equity stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team while maintaining a hands-on approach.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting efficiencies.
• Support acquisitions and post-acquisition integration, including accounting systems, financial reporting, and operational processes.
• Partner closely with the CFO, CAO, and other senior leaders on strategic initiatives.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and coordinate external audits, tax filings, and multi-state reporting requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Private equity-backed healthcare industry experience is a MUST. Candidates should have direct accounting leadership experience within a PE-backed healthcare services platform, ideally involving multiple practices, facilities, or operating entities.
• Recent, hands-on NetSuite experience is REQUIRED.
• 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2-4 years of accounting leadership or management experience.
• Experience overseeing accounting operations in a multi-entity, multi-state environment.
• Strong technical accounting foundation, including GAAP, consolidations, general ledger, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Proven ability to lead accounting teams while remaining involved in day-to-day operations.

Highly Preferred:

• Experience in physician practice management, ophthalmology, optometry, ambulatory surgery centers, or other multi-site healthcare services businesses.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, and rapid organizational growth.
• CPA, CMA, or similar professional certification.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience improving accounting processes and reporting capabilities.
