Sales Support & Customer Service Manager - Hawaii

Join our dynamic team at The Islander Group as we are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Customer Service and Sales Support department. Based in Mililani, this strategic role serves as a crucial bridge between our retail partners, sales representatives, and internal departments, with a strong focus on sales execution and support.
Position Overview
Lead a dedicated team providing comprehensive support to both our sales representatives and retail partners across Hawaii. This role combines customer service leadership with strategic sales support and execution, requiring someone who can drive operational excellence while contributing to high-level business planning and sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Management & Execution
- Partner with Sales team to drive revenue growth and improve sales execution
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify opportunities and challenges
- Support implementation of sales strategies and promotional programs
- Ensure effective communication of sales initiatives between retail partners and internal teams
- Coordinate with Category Managers to optimize product placement and inventory management
Team Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership to the Customer Service/Sales Support team through coaching, training, and performance management
- Participate in Sales Meetings, Category Managers' Meetings, and Directors' Meetings to align support strategies with company objectives
- Manage complex problem-solving scenarios requiring cross-departmental cooperation
- Develop and implement training programs focusing on product knowledge, service excellence, and system proficiency
Operations Management
- Oversee daily customer service operations, ensuring exceptional support to both internal sales teams and external retail partners
- Monitor and analyze service metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with various departments including Sales, Finance, and Operations to optimize support delivery
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
Technical Skills Required
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular emphasis on:
- Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, sales reporting)
- Word (professional documentation and reporting)
- PowerPoint (sales presentations and delivery)
- Outlook (email management and calendar coordination)
- Demonstrated ability to learn and manage ERP systems
- Experience with CRM platforms and business intelligence tools
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to train others on software systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Communications, or related field
- 5 years of management experience in customer service or sales support
- Proven track record in sales execution and support
- Experience in retail sales management preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Hawaii's retail market a plus
