Summary
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support month‑end close, expense accruals, and financial analysis for a complex, global accounting environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP while supporting leadership through timely analysis and reporting.
In this position, you will own critical general ledger activities, partner with cross‑functional stakeholders, and contribute to both routine close cycles and ad hoc financial initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for an accountant who can step in quickly, manage complexity, and add immediate value.
Responsibilities
- Perform month‑end expense accruals and ensure accurate expense recognition in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet and P&L flux for executive and management review
- Reconcile high‑volume general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries as part of the close process
- Support international accounting activities, including foreign currency transactions and multi‑currency conversions
- Collaborate with business partners to ensure accrual accuracy and explain financial variances
- Prepare account reconciliations and ensure timely clearing of reconciling items
- Assist with cash receipts, deposits, and related reconciliations as needed
- Support audits, SOX compliance activities, and special accounting projects
This position is responsible for evaluating, reviewing, and performing month-end expense accruals to ensure expenses are properly and accurately recorded in accordance with GAAP. Perform monthly flux analysis for balance sheet and P&L line items for executive review.
Must Haves:
- BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-5 years of accounting experience
- GL Accounting experience to include month end close, reconciliations, journal entries, monthly business review experience
- Exposure to Cash Management, FP&A and Treasury
- Oracle and Excel experience is a MUST
- Need someone that can come in and hit the ground running with complex report generation, ADHOC, close, etc.
Preference:
- International exposure accounting experience i.e. dealing with foreign transactions, multi-currency, global entities etc. This person will be converting Yen and Australian currency on a regular basis

Other skills:
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, accounting procedures and concepts, and internal control processes within accounts payable and general accounting.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills with the ability to prepare reports and spreadsheets efficiently.
- Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
