Role Summary
The Intersect Group is seeking a Senior Government Cost and Price Analyst to support a high‑growth federal contractor specializing in advanced defense and space technologies. This role plays a pivotal part in developing compliant, defensible, and strategically aligned cost and price proposals for U.S. Government customers.
The analyst will lead complex pricing efforts, ensure adherence to federal acquisition regulations, and provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders. This position directly influences proposal competitiveness, negotiation outcomes, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Cost and price proposal development Lead preparation, analysis, and submission of complex federal and DoD cost and price proposals.
• Regulatory compliance oversight Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, TINA, CAS, and UCA requirements throughout the proposal lifecycle.
• Cost realism and price analysis Conduct cost realism, price realism, competitive analysis, and Basis of Estimate development.
• Subcontractor evaluation Review subcontractor proposals for allowability, allocability, reasonableness, and flow‑down compliance.
• Audit and negotiation support Support fact‑finding, DCAA/DCMA audits, and negotiations with contracting officers.
• Pricing model management Maintain pricing tools, historical cost databases, and internal estimating methodologies.
• Internal advisory support Provide guidance to program managers, capture teams, and executives on pricing strategy and regulatory impacts.
• Financial operations support Review expense reports for allowability and support monthly business review preparation.
Key Requirements
• Government pricing experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
• Federal acquisition expertise 5 years of experience in government cost and price analysis or federal contracting.
• Regulatory knowledge Strong understanding of FAR Part 15, FAR Part 31, DFARS, CAS, TINA, and UCA requirements.
• Audit and negotiation experience Experience supporting DCAA/DCMA audits and government negotiations.
• Advanced Excel proficiency Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
• Communication and documentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Independent work capability Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Citizenship requirement U.S. Citizenship required.
