Role Summary
We are seeking a Leave Administrator to support the administration of multi state leave of absence programs and employee benefits processes. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal leave regulations, coordinating with third party vendors, supporting employee communications, and maintaining accurate records throughout the leave lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of leave administration, Massachusetts leave regulations, benefits deductions, and HR systems. This individual will serve as a key resource for employees and stakeholders while helping ensure a positive and compliant leave management experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer multi state leave of absence programs in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations
• Manage employee leave cases from intake through return to work
• Coordinate with third party leave vendors and insurance partners regarding claim status, documentation, and approvals
• Utilize ADP to maintain employee records and track leave related activities
• Review benefit deductions and assist with leave related benefits administration
• Send employee communications regarding leave status, benefit impacts, required documentation, and next steps
• Identify and communicate payroll and benefit offsets related to leave events
• Respond to employee and manager questions regarding leave policies, benefits, and program requirements
Key Requirements
• 1 to 2 years of experience administering leave of absence programs with strong knowledge of Massachusetts leave laws
• Experience managing multi state leave cases and regulatory requirements
• Hands on experience utilizing ADP as an HRIS platform
• Knowledge of employee benefits deductions and leave related benefit impacts
• Experience identifying, reviewing, and communicating leave related offsets
• Experience working with third party leave administrators, insurance carriers, or benefits vendors
• Understanding of FMLA, state leave programs, ADA, and related leave regulations
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
Preferred Skills
• Experience supporting large, multi location employee populations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive employee information
• Ability to prioritize multiple leave cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Experience partnering with payroll, benefits, and human resources teams
