Location: Remote Tri-State (New York, New Jersey, & Connecticut)

Compensation: $165k-$185k Base Bonus

Role Summary

We are seeking a Director of FP&A to lead financial planning, forecasting, strategic analytics, and performance reporting for a high growth, private equity backed organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this newly created role will play a critical part in driving financial visibility, supporting strategic decision making, and building the reporting infrastructure needed to scale the business.

This leader will partner closely with executive leadership, operations, accounting, and private equity stakeholders to provide actionable insights that improve profitability, cash flow, operational efficiency, and long term value creation. The ideal candidate brings a strong FP&A foundation, experience in high growth environments, and a desire to help build and improve processes within a rapidly evolving organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts across revenue, margins, labor, overhead, cash flow, and capital expenditures

• Develop and enhance FP&A processes, financial models, KPI reporting, and performance dashboards to support rapid organizational growth

• Own scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and long range financial modeling for strategic decision making

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and board level reporting packages, including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and executive insights

• Partner with operations leaders to evaluate profitability, labor productivity, job costing, pricing strategies, backlog performance, and service line results

• Support mergers and acquisitions through financial modeling, due diligence, integration planning, and synergy tracking

• Collaborate with accounting and technology teams to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, business intelligence tools, and automation initiatives

• Work directly with the CFO and private equity partners on strategic initiatives, value creation programs, and board presentation materials

Key Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of progressive FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance experience, with Director level experience preferred

• Experience working within private equity backed organizations, multi location businesses, field services, construction, commercial services, or similar operationally focused industries

• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash forecasting, financial modeling, performance analytics, and strategic finance

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills with experience using ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar platforms

• Experience building or enhancing business intelligence, dashboarding, and reporting capabilities

• Knowledge of job costing, unit economics, labor productivity metrics, multi entity environments, and project based revenue models

• Proven ability to develop executive presentations, board reporting packages, and communicate financial insights to leadership teams and private equity stakeholders

• Strong leadership, collaboration, communication, and relationship building skills with the ability to influence cross functional partners

Location

• Fully remote opportunity with preference for candidates located in the Mountain or West Coast time zones

• Periodic travel to New York for leadership meetings, typically quarterly
